There are times when we just need something uplifting and happy to listen to. We need to know that eventually life will be okay and that our outlook on what lies ahead is better than what we have left behind. It is part of the human spirit to attempt to make sense of what is going on around us. Music is one of those creative releases that allows us to take a breath.
Las Vegas quartet Foreign Sons is trying to find that peace of mind with us on their new single, “Wonder”. Comprised of a trio of brothers, Chris, David and Joshua Bundra, and close friend David Weaver, they have developed a sound that is pure, raw and honest. And the video for “Wonder” reflects those exact sentiments. The Sin City band took what they knew and made it into a music video that represents everything that they are.
“‘Wonder’ tackles learning to live in peace despite circumstances in life,” lead singer Chris Bundra mused. “We specifically filmed it in our practice space to capture our daily routine. We wanted a raw straightforward approach.”
And Foreign Sons have found that gritty, rustic feel, not only in the video, but in their approach and style of music. “Wonder” is a heart-warming, uplifting single that is not only a feel good track, but a wonderful rock song that boasts both the tenderness of a ballad and the thundering weight of an anthem. It is a great balance that Foreign Sons finds throughout and it seems to represent the volatility of life’s ups and downs. It is impassioned and fraught with emotion that is riff with heartache and triumph.
