I will start off by saying that because I am somewhat stingy with my cash, I do not have a subscription to YouTube Music, so from what I can tell, Fall Out Boy has indeed made a music video for every track off their album, Mania, but please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
Mania has been one of the biggest surprises in 2018 for me. I have talked about it a bit before, but I sort of thought bands like Fall Out Boy were going to ride off into the sun as we make our way into the Roaring Twenties 2.0, it never crossed my mind that Patrick Stump and the crew would instead be making some of the best music of their career.
Another topic I have discussed this year is the avalanche of music videos that bands and artists have been releasing. “Bishops Knife Trick” is the final track on Mania and I assume that means it will be the final music video as well. Every video that I have been able to watch on YouTube has followed a similar theme, culminating with the fictional “Frosty and The Royal Tea” – an all llama band that even released a three-song EP titled Llamania – playing “Bishops Knife Trick” while Stump plays the role of the Diva Director.
It’s a pretty incredible feat creating as many music videos as Fall Out Boy has created this year. So for that, I salute you!
