In this time of political turmoil in the United States and around the world, it is a common theme to have songs that are politically charged. New York’s VISTA is at the heart of America’s unrest and they have no qualms about sharing their displeasure. Their latest single, “Allegiance”, is a powerful, rock anthem that addresses some of the interests of those on the outside looking in and is their debut single off of their upcoming EP.
The joint venue of lead singer Hope Vista and guitarist Greg Almeida is something of a rebirth of a hard-hitting rock genre that is on the verge of breaking out again. The self-described anthem rock is catchy and energetic and “Allegiance” is, in a way, asking you to join their cause of rebellion by way of heavy, thumping drums and crunching guitar riffs. And with their 30-second teaser, it is almost impossible to not want more.
